BE-terna, a leading provider of IT services in Europe, is entering a long-term partnership with SOS Children’s Villages to support the “Digital Villages” program.

Over the next three years, BE-terna will provide a total of €30,000 to help children and young people worldwide gain access to digital technologies and skills.

"Digital skills and abilities are a very important competency for our children and young people worldwide, which we promote and continuously expand with the Digital Village program at SOS Children's Villages."

"With the support of BE-terna, we can specifically provide children and young people, especially girls, access to information technologies and thus prepare them well for an independent future. Thank you for the valuable contribution,"

says Nora Deinhammer, Managing Director of SOS Children's Villages Austria.

The “Digital Villages” program lays the foundation for education and career opportunities by offering young people access to IT infrastructure, secure internet connections, and practical training. A key focus is on empowering girls and young women to break down digital barriers.

The program currently reaches more than 40,000 participants across 60 countries.

“With Digital Villages, we provide children and young people with the foundation to realize their potential—regardless of their background or circumstances,” says Gerald Pichler, CEO of BE-terna.

“Education and digital skills create real opportunities for an independent and self-determined life. That’s exactly what we support with this project.”

In addition to financial support, BE-terna intends to further accompany the initiative over the long term and gradually expand its involvement.
