In October 2015, BE-terna Fashion based on Microsoft Dynamics AX was successfully put into operation at the Stuttgart fashion and lifestyle company E. Breuninger GmbH & Co. The state-of-the-art, integrated ERP system covers all essential merchandise management processes.
BE-terna Fashion was established as the ideal solution in the comprehensive 2012 selection process. By opting for the global player Microsoft in conjunction with the Microsoft Gold Partner BE-terna, Breuninger was safeguarding its future, as well as ensuring optimum scalability and industry expertise. BE-terna Fashion went into operation in October 2015 after a project term of just 25 months. More than ten existing individual solutions were replaced and functionally merged for this purpose.
By introducing BE-terna Fashion, Breuninger’s requirements – from sector-specific master data management and central ordering, to merchandise logistics and store management, plus the integration of EDI processes – were implemented in a single solution. Today, the BE-terna Mobile add-on, implemented on more than 500 mobile devices, is guaranteeing a uniform, workflow-controlled merchandise recording and movement process. So, in addition to the POS solution, the Breuninger card system and the online shop were seamlessly connected.
All the tasks were completed superbly thanks to the focused and structured cooperative relationship between Breuninger and BE-terna. The project was based on the Microsoft Sure Step method and was linked to BE-terna’s process-focused approach from the analysis stage back in January 2013. The new business solution automates and simplifies all the work processes, creates transparency and is absolutely essential for solid growth. It also ensures a high level of staff satisfaction, since employees are largely working within the Windows world, with the familiar usability and existing integration with applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint.
