Partner Alliance Specialist – Cloud Licensing (w/m/d)

BE-terna is seeking an experienced Cloud Licensing Specialist to join our dynamic Partner Alliance team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role within the Microsoft ecosystem. 

In this role, you will be responsible for managing Microsoft Cloud licensing orders from an operational perspective, ensuring efficient processing and compliance with corporate policies. Additionally, you will provide consulting services to the customers and internal teams to help optimize licensing across BE-terna’s ecosystem. 

You will collaborate closely with various internal teams to align licensing operations with business objectives while also contributing your comprehensive licensing know-how to enhance customer satisfaction. This position requires strong operational skills, licensing expertise, and a thorough understanding of cloud service provisioning to support BE-terna’s growing business

#yourmission

  • CSP & Cloud Licensing Operations: Manage and process Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) orders, ensuring timely and accurate execution of licenses and subscriptions. Oversee all operational aspects of Microsoft cloud licensing (Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure, Modern Work), including providing second-level support for internal teams and customers
  • Microsoft Partner Center Administration: Manage activities within the Microsoft Partner Center, including onboarding and offboarding of customers, subscription management, access controls for consultants, and accurate reporting 
  • Cloud Consulting: Consult clients and internal teams on optimal license models depending on the specific use case and requirements. Develop licensing paths and also give some basic development paths for licensing
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to Microsoft licensing policies and organizational compliance requirements, including data protection and licensing guidelines
  • Cloud Operations Documentation: Maintain detailed records and documentation of licensing orders, processes, and customer engagement for operational consistency and transparency
  • Process Optimization: Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with sales, technical, and customer success teams to align licensing processes with business goals
  • Information Flow: Track Microsoft licensing updates and ensure relevant information is communicated to internal stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Regularly assess licensing performance metrics and generate reports for internal teams and management.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in licensing management or cloud operations within the Microsoft ecosystem
  • Strong operational knowledge of Microsoft ERP (Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Business Central) and CRM (Dynamics 365 CE) licensing is required
  • Knowledge of licensing for additional platforms such as Infor, Qlik, or UiPath is a plus
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and manage operational workflows effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across different teams and departments
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to proactively address operational challenges
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German is a significant advantage
